You don't need to post the same link to the same petition 3 times in a row on one thread. :bonk:

If you include the CSC in the petition you can motivate people like me...

Why would we include the CSC if they are approved so far ahead of their 5 month average processing time?

The petition is for people in primarily Feb, March, and April who's petitions won't get reached for another 2-3 months (more like 3-4 if things keep going how they are), and all the others who will be waiting an extra 2-4 months because they've been so backlogged from Feb - April.

I understand that people at CSC want their petitions approved really fast (and I mean, who doesn't?), but people at VSC signed up for 5 months tops and now are waiting 7 or 8 just for an RFE.

There is no issue with the CSC processing times at the moment. If they were to suddenly drop five to eight months behind, I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem including them in the petition.

That statement on the processing time at the CSC may refer to visa K1 formalities (relying on what persons being served by the VSC are saying). In my case it is an IR5 visa petition by filling I130 and I485 forms. I can assure you that most of us, related to this type of visa processing; have to wait up to nine months, although supposedly the processing time is five months. What I mean is that it is not appropriate to generalize, saying that the CSC is more efficient than the VSC because in this way you can get a large group of people affected, who are in the CSC, join the cause. Insisting that the CSC is more efficient than the VSC in general, is inconvenient for those who are being served by the VSC and also for those who are being served by the CSC.

Sorry, I'm completely stuck in my K-1 bubble :X

You're totally right, and in that case, I would completely understand adding the over-the-projected-date forms to the petition.

This seems to be the thread to vent about the VSC! I know doing so doesn't help one bit but the frustration is just unbelievable. I've never felt this helpless in my life. I would love to be more active on Visa Journey these days but every time I come here I cry my eyes out :( All I can say is I hope things even out soon, for fairness' sake if nothing else. We all paid the same amount of money after all :/

I'm sorry for this random vent guys. I'm wishing everyone the very best of luck with this xx

I live in Utah but my 129F got routed to Vermont instead of CSC. Is this normal?

I wouldn't call it normal. USCIS has been known to do things like this for distribution purposes in the past, but that wouldn't make sense in this case. VSC is way behind CSC so it would only seem to make matters worse for all the VSC filers in the long line of waiting if USCIS started distributing western cases to VSC. It should be the other way around given the current processing times. I wouldn't think about it too hard if I were you. There might be some method to their madness, but it is highly unlikely that you will get some clear cut rationale. If it made it to one of the two service centers, there shouldn't be any abnormal problems.

I don't really understand what many of you are talking about when you value CSC over VSC... It is pretty easy to find a lot of people like me in these forums , that are totally frustrated with the results at CSC... Most of them are waiting at least for EIGHT MONTHS... Believe me, when talking about inefficiency, all of them are the same...

We are only judging based on the statistics that VJ provides. True, it doesn't tell us everything, but it does tell us enough to know that VSC is way behind CSC. Even on the USCIS dashboard for My Case Status, VSC is behind CSC and the national average. There are always outliers for sure, but consistently, VSC is falling at around 6.5 months while CSC is pushing them out at 4-5 months. I'm an April filer, and we have an April filer thread. Many at CSC are already being approved while VSC has barely made it into March so this is exactly what we are talking about.

If anyone would like to to go the "extra mile" and push for answers on this topic, you could apply to take this up at the quarterly stakeholders meeting. If I am understanding correctly, you would not need to be in person at the meeting but could attend over the phone. To submit an agenda item, it would need to be drafted and sent by Sept. 10th.

VSC Processing Time for I-129F Updated: February 27, 2012.

It is no longer listed at 5 months. This date is bologna, but it will be used to deny people service requests probably until those people are past at least 6 months.
