On Saturday I received a single page letter from the US Embassy in London to say that they have received an approved petition for the fiance visa.

Should I be waiting for anything else to come through the mail? The K1 flow chart on this site states I will receive a package with a checklist of items and paperwork that must be collected. Does this still happen, or do I just follow step one on this link?

From what I gather there, I fill in a DS-230, DS-156 and a DS-157, the DS-156K and then I mail this to the specified address..

I then get everything else together for my interview and book a medical, then post a form DS-2001 to say I am ready for my interview?

They will then respond to me with a date for my interview and go from there?

I know it may seem that i'm just repeating what is on that site, but I wanted to break it down and ensure I understand the process I am now embarking on!

Thank you all so much for your help, this site truly is the best source of information for anything, ever. :)

No, you'll not receive a package or anything else other than your interview letter. London only sends that letter which sends you to the website to tell you what documents to gather for your interview. Just follow the steps on the link

Once you have sent these and attend your medical, you will receive another single page letter that says when your interview is and that's it!

You are exactly correct and understand it better than most seem to. There is a thread pinned at the top of this forum that discusses London specific things, which differ from the VJ guides which are one-size-fits-the-whole-world.

Brilliant, thanks for the quick reply.

Feeling a little more in my depth with things now. It's been so many months since me and my fiance worked on the initial petition, I feel out of the loop of this whole thing!
