Hi VJ's,

Just a quick question, how will we be able to know if the USCIS had en-cashed the payment for the AOS? We went at Bank of America and the teller made a cashiers check payable to the Dept. of Homeland security. And upon checking our bank, it was already processed and the amount was immediately deducted from our account that same day we ordered the cashiers check. I hope we did the payment right :(

Thank you!

Was the check mailed together with the papers?I'm just curious.

Hopefully you still have a copy of cashiers check, so you can go to the bank and asked them if it was cashed.

You got a cashier's check, which you have to pay for up front. The bank takes that money out of your account, and writes the check for USCIS. The funds are certified - you already paid.

You won't be able to know when it was cashed. That's why people suggest using a personal check instead of a cashier's check. You might be able to call the bank and check if it was cashed, but otherwise you wait.

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

How long does it take them to en-cash the check. I checked the tracking number for the packet and it shows that the documents where already delivered Aug. 20 ( Monday ) i will just have to wait for their email and text since I attached the paper for the email and text notification ( I forgot the name of the form - sorry ), I suppose?
