I am from Bangladesh, my husband is USC and applied CR1 for me. our case is currently in NVC. I lived in Denmark for 9 months. Do I need police clearance from Denmark at the time of my interview. Though NVC does not need it but I am afraid if the consulate want for it. I read some threads which make me confused----is it vary country to country. Is there any link for Dhaka consulate from where I get information?

Please help me, I am already late enough if I have to submit police clearance from Denmark :help:

My suggestion would be to listen it from the horse's mouth, meaning call US embassy Dhaka and ask them the question. Make sure you don't give them too much info (personal information) over the phone.

So yes, embassy MAY ask for it. Will send you an email.

Don't worry much..... Everything will be just fine.... Around what timeframe are you expecting your interview dates, any idea?

I find this link for Dhaka Consulate

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/bangladesh/275802/immigrant-visas/INSTRUCTIONS_FOR_POLICE_CERTIFICATE_08182011.pdf

The document is told that it requires to live more than 1 year---------feeling bit relief, but not 100%

Why not? Take a copy of this doc and if anyone asks for it tell them you followed te due process.... Feel good about the fact that you had some solid information to back him up.
