What Does Final Processing Mean?

Hello all, I had my interview last August 15. The interview went great and the consul congratulated me and specifically said that she will grant my visa. When I went to the 2go window, they didn't give any white form 221g to me. The guy on the window even said, Ma'am your visa is approved. Please wait for 2go to deliver it to your home address (that's what I specified as my delivery preference)

I know the visa takes time to be delivered. I am in no way rushing the visa but I got worried when I saw a post here on VJ about a member being approved and then finding out later on that they need more documents or them being on AP. Their interview date was a day before mine. So I called today and talked to an agent from US Embassy and the agent said my visa is on the final stage of processing. Are you guys aware what that means? Should I be worried?

Any insights would be appreciated.

That's normal. My visa got issued or PRINTED 5 days after my interview.Just wait a few days and ask the status. If they say that it was issued already that means it's gonna be picked up by 2GO for delivery asap.

There is always final processing, the embassy reviews each file before the actual printing of the visa. They took about 9 days to complete the processing and printing for my wife's visa.

Hello everyone i. Kinda confuse with my case status right now. Last july 11 ,i had my interview at the embassy,i was given 221g form form lacking CENOMAR which i provided right after my interview, went to NSO Office and embassy Recieved my cenomar the next day. my visa case on CEAC was under administrative processing ...then 3days after i checked my visa status case and it changed to issued , this is what it says:

"ISSUED"

We have authorized issuance of your visa. Barring unforeseen problems, the visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by courier service within 7 to 10 working days from the visa issuance date. Do not finalize travel plans, purchase plane tickets, dispose of property, or cease employment until the visa is delivered to you. For visa delivery inquiries, contact 2GO courier service Call Center at (63)(2) 528-7136.

To make sure, I called the embassy and ask about my visa status(if im already approved or what)but they only told me that i have already completed the documents, and my visa is on its final processing, but they cant tell yet if my visa is approved or not , not until my visa will be issued. Im just so confused that when i check my status on CEAC.com, it says my visa has been issued? What does this mean?? Am i just waiting for my visa to be stamped on my passport?? Im just wondering why they put visa status "ISSUED" on ceac, when its not yet???

Final processing normally is a review of your completed file (they do this with ALL files) after that they will order your visa printed and affixed in your passport. From there it will be sent to 2GO.

Relax.... nothing moves slower than the government ;)

Thanks for replying!! i always check my case status, just yesterday in the afternoon my case changed from AP to visa "ISSUED" ...Then this morning i tracked my passport/ visa then it says "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted"... So i called the embassy this morning and they said that my visa is still on its final processing and told me to call them back this coming friday ( 2days from now). Well i guess they're still processing it right now cuz it was just yesterday afternoon that i noticed my case status changed from AP to ISSUED. Really hoping my visa will be sent very soon!!

PLEASE ANYONE CAN HELP ME.. I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND ABOUT MY VISA CASE STATUS..WHEN I TRACK MY VISA THEY SAID ''

U.S. Department of State
NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Issued
Application ID or Case Number: MNLXXXXXXXXXX 01 MNL Case Creation Date: 11-Sep-2013 Status Updated Date: 13-Sep-2013

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received your passport in more than 10 days after your interview, please contact the Embassy call center at (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to track the delivery of your passport.

I am just wondering why they only mentioned about my passport and didnt include the word visa..what does it mean? does it mean i was denied???
