High School Education and Work/College

I graduated High School in the UK back in 1998, but didn't pursue Uni/College at all and now I'm starting to get prepared to look for work when my EAD comes through. I see a lot of listings ask for High School graduates or something similar. How do I show that I graduated High School back in England? or is it worth doing the GED?

The same applies for Community College, an option I'm looking at once I have my GC - do I need to complete the GED? Anything I could be doing now to make myself more appealing to employers/schools?

did your high school issue a certificate of completion or diploma ?

have you ever been issued a high school transcript ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I went to a Grammar School back in the UK and never received a cert of completion. I got a few A-Levels at the time, but in the UK we don't get a Diploma for High School, at least, not when I was in school.

I just thought it would be easier to complete the GED as there are a couple of places near me that offer the test - I just planned to get a couple of books and just power through it?
