Montreal Consulate process?

I have heard that you can request to come back to the consulate the next day after the interview and pick up your stamped passport. Is that true ?

Also heard that if you do not have your DHL receipt in hand, that you aren't even allowed to get into the build for the interview. Is that true ?

If both of the above are true, how does that work (sorry if that sounds like a trick question...not meant to be )

If you can come back the next day to get the passport... is that just arranged in the interview? or what is the process to make that request ?

We are at the "waiting for the interview date" stage.

It's extremely rare to be able to come back and pick up your visa the next day. You would need a really good reason (like an emergency). You can certainly ask if you want at the time of the interview, but be prepared to be told no.

Yes, you need confirmation that you signed up for a DHL location. Montreal is now no longer letting you in without showing it, along with your passport and interview letter.

You can ask, all they can do is say no!! if you do NOT ask, then it is already a no!! But expect a NO,lol And most likely has to be a good reason.....saying--my husband is coming down tomorrow to pick me up, most likely is not a good enough reason. But doesnt hurt to ask
