letter of employment

My workplace only does employment verification via a number to call or website to go to, and so they can get the info there. I will have a paper with my social sec number and employment number, and the site and number, but has anyone else done the verification this way? I know the embassy expects to see a paper with it all laid out with a signature, so will they not be able to take the time to do either method mentioned above? As always, thanks so much for your help

My company also does verification through a website and phone call, but I plan to type a letter and have my manager sign it. The Embassy will not call to verify anything.

Its not a mandatory requirement anyway. Just give them the info, with the number to call so that they may do so if they choose to.

Having your Tax Return is. That should be all they need. Pay stubs are good, but optional also.

My job does the same thing but they also have an HR department and I was abel to get a letter.

IMHO, you should do everything to get that letter. Listen, you're going to bed with the government for a long period, prepare well and in advance.

I'll hate to see you post a should/coulda stuff 9 months from now.

I've found out that the government types like a preponderance of evidence. You want your little Lady to be able to present anything asked for a the interview that is listed.

Love the avatar picture, you two look like a good fit. Good luck.

PS: They're not going to call any number. They asked for a letter not a number or contact info, start by making sure you're following their instructions.

my husband went to the human resources place where he works. if you have access to that ask them for a letter. his contained the date he was hired, how much he makes an hour normal and overtime, position and something else i can't remember. but i think it will work if they have the info so they can check the details themselves. good luck!

do you think it necessary to have my annual salary when i'm paid by the hour? I did manage to get a letter that contained all of that except only had per hour, and not annual salary. I know we want to make sure everything is just fine before sending the packet. And if I do need per year, would it be what my current hourly rate would be times a year's worth? HR wasn't really sure what specifically they'd put for that, but any thoughts on this? Thanks for all your help

It is fine for the letter to list your per hour income. You take the amount made per hour and multiply it by how many hours you work per week, then multiply that by 52 weeks. That is the current annual income you list on the I-134 where it asks.
