Hi there,

We did. 190 days.

You got to phone them, cos we did, putting a service request in.

Hope all of you who are waiting get approved soon. It will happen for you too.

appreciate the advice, texas22. who do i call? i called the 800 service number 3 weeks ago and got the "working on applications received jan 16th" response.

don't know where a lot of you find the updated information. i try, but i'm not getting anywhere. just waiting.

thanks again, jim

Hi Jim, the number I have is 800-767-1833. Tell them you would like to put in a service request. If the tier 1 customer service rep gives you a hard time ask to speak to a tier 2. They don't like that and will try and put you off, but don't take no for an answer. Good luck. :)

I'm just shy of 180 days but that's pretty much in line with what appears to be happening at VSC, give or take a few weeks. Perhaps calling them to chase will help but if they're struggling to keep up then I'd imagine the extra work involved in servicing your request will only make things even slower in the long run. I'd just wait, it'll come in good time but know I feel your frustration.

I understand what your saying... but if they are actually working on Feb petitions, which it seems they are, then why are there many January ones still waiting... a lot with no RFE's, and a lot that haven't been touched in months. I totally understand their frustration and at this point.. I don't blame them for calling.

We all paid the same fee, and seeing CSC getting approvals in 70 days is a total slap in the face..

From my fiance and my experience speaking with representatives who assist in processing service requests the general idea we got is that you will get a lot of pushback, and flat out told to call back UNLESS your NOA date is before the automated messaging that specifies the date they are on, or the service representative confirms the date they are currently processing. If your NOA date is ahead of that date, you can put in the service request with absolutely no issue. I have friends who refused to accept the pushback after waiting 190 days and they did supposedly put a service request in for them. They were then emailed saying that the VSC was still processing for [blank] date. So all that work and they just went in a loop. You're right in assuming that service orders also slow them down and at the rate they're going, they really can't accomodate any distractions. They are doubling and almost tripling the wait time for the CSC which is absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah it sucks that you got the RFE so late in your process. Hopefully it is something easy and you can respond to them asap. We got our hardcopy in the mail in about 5 days.

Ours was just past the 5 month mark. They have had our evidence back for 5 weeks now... something has got to happen soon! Our congressman's office has been on them for a while now. We at least know that it is now with an adjudicator.

All the best to you on your journey!

Hello.

Our NOA1 date is Feb 13th. We called today and they are currently processing February 6th. There have been some NOA2's sent out from VSC for Feb 16th, 17th filing days so I guess when they say they are on the 6th, it means that the 5th is the last day that they have fully cleared. I know how frustrating it is waiting for more than 6 months when the CSC is processing much faster but your NOA2 is coming soon :) We called 12 days ago and they said they were on January 21st so we are getting there slowly but surely.

Hang in there!

Trista&Nick, may I ask who you are calling or who you called? I called the 800-375-5283 number on the USCIS website, but they weren't able to give me the 'currently processing' date for VSC - they only said the same thing that is on the USICS website (found from VisaJourney's USCIS & DOS Reported Processing Times page) which hasn't been updated since 30 September (it's 21 November now). Thank you so much!
