My Wedding Dress came in almost two months early!!! Yeah, especially since they ordered the wrong one. Interview is this Thursday (praying hard), anyway our plans are coming along, hopefully he will POE in November, so we can still have our December wedding.

My dress came in a month early. I have my fitting next week so I was shopping for shoes today. Ugh. After hitting at least 10 stores I found a pair. I'm still not sure about them so I'm hanging on the receipt.

Thursday I met with the caterer. They are willing to wait until the end of November for me to put down a deposit, so that will help. We're still planning on a Jan 12th date.

That is great. I just realized that is the Saturday after Thanksgiving. NICE!!!!

That was the reason why I chose November 24 because many of my friends and relative will be off and able to attend.

I already paid the deposit for the reception hall. My fiancee put her touch in the cocktail hour. We will have a roasted pig - Filipino style. That is he will be decorated with sun glasses :).

I don't know how you guys feel, but We have 39 days until our wedding. OMG, still have sooo much to do. I wish his family would make up their mind about coming. I think I am getting on his nerves about asking. LOL!!! My groomsmen still have not given me their measurements. UUUUGH!! It will still be a beautiful, romantic wedding.:wub:

this thread is so exciting! i don't know how you all are doing it with medium to large sized weddings -- i am planning a VERY small ceremony and that's overwhelming enough for me!

anyways, i'm currently struggling with music for the ceremony -- being that its going to be small (no wedding party, just my man and i) so the procession and recession will be very short i'm wondering if i should bother hiring a musician or just use pre-recorded music. i know some look at prerecorded music as tacky. but we're on a very tight budget and .. well i dont know. any thoughts?

If you have your heart set on live music - you could try seeing if a college music student would be willing to lend his/her services for a reasonable fee. (a violinist maybe?) I don't see anything wrong with pre-recorded music either if you have a favourite song you want played.

I'm going with pre-recorded music as well. My fiance is a musician, but I can't have him play. LOL I don't think he would be happy paying someone else to play. He's in charge of picking music.

My invitations arrived yesterday! I'm so excited. I can't mail them until we get through the interveiw though. Planning the wedding has been a source of stress, but its been keeping my mind off the interview. I've been making myself crazy thinking about all the things that can go wrong. Wedding stuff just makes me smile. Can't wait!!

We have all the major things planned out and taken care off (tux, bridemaids gowns, flowers, limo, reception hall, final guest list, wedding favors, table center pieces, Minister to give the wedding talk, wedding dances, wedding songs, DJ etc). In the next few days there will be rehearsals and countless minor stuff to accout for.

We have been traditional and will wait until after the wedding and until the honeymoon to be intimate. 6 more days to go.:dance::dance:

i couldn't help but notice in your signature that you've been on many cruises -- isn't cruising the best? we're hoping to go on a hawaiian cruise (pride of america) for our honeymoon

as for music, i think we're going to go with a cellist. my fiance and i both like cello music and we found a musician in the area with very competitive rates. of course, we have to make sure he's available for the wedding date, and we have no idea when that will be!

My fiance works on cruise ships which is why I take so many. That is how I visit while he's working. Not a bad deal, huh? Luckily I really love cruising. We will not, however, be taking a cruise for our honeymoon. That would be like him being in his office. LOL

I'm leaving Jordan in charge of music so we'll see what he comes up with.
