Hi friends here in VJ!

I just wanna ask who among you here who got approved this August (early August to be specific) has there Manila Case Number already? We filed May 31, NOA1 was June 5 and NOA2 was August 3. And til now we don't have yet our case number. We do keep on calling NVC but they the best answer so far they gave us was they received our papers from USCIS last August 6. And worse is, most of the agents whom we talked to do not have consistency in answering us. Others say they haven't received our papers yet, some say call again after 10-20 days. :( Haayy.

We're still waiting though to have it before the end of the month. Anybody here who is going through the same stage? Please feel free to comment. Thank you!

I am in the same boat with you. NVC seems to be a joke but the whole immigration system is broken so all we can do is to wait.

I really don't know what's wrong with NVC nowadays. That's the only thing we're waiting to start the process. We got everything ready already. All we just need is the magic number from them. :(

In my case, I was approved at July 6 and NVC get my case at August 9. NVC assigned a case number at August 11. So, it is still not too late for you. USCIS recommend to contact NVC after 1 month of approval if they do not assign a case number within this time. I can feel your pain, hope you will get the good news soon

Me and my husband decided to call them 3x a day. We're really hoping to get it before the end of the month.. Coz I'm worried about my interview date. I'm afraid I can't make it to be with him by November or December atleast. LOL. But seriously, we got all our papers and payments ready, that's the only thing we're waiting.. When my husband told me about there answer (as always) to call after 10-20days, then how many more "10-20days" do we have to wait? Its really frustrating :(

My NOA2 approval was also on the 3rd of August and just like you, I have not received the NVC acknowledgement of receipt or approval. I know it would get completed soon, but unlike you, I am not in a hurry and am planning to get my family in the US by April or May next year (2013). I am staying with them now in the Philippines. I am sure that we would hear from the NVC guys before the end of this month. Get your fingers crossed.

Your case is fine since you're living with them, unlike me. I am away from my husband. He have to go back to US 2days after our wedding and we have no choice coz he can't stay longer because of his job that's why we are really aiming for me to be there before the end of the year. Its so hard. We're looking forward of NVC for progress before the end of the month. Crossed fingers

Weird, we got our case number in 6 days. There is no rhyme or reason to any part of this process.

Good Luck!

If I am correct, based on your timeline, you're under K1 visa. And basically, people who are under this Visa type easily gets there case number from NVC than CR1 visas. COz K1 visas, their papers are forwarded directly to the consulate after they pay there visa and have it process when they come to US. Unlike CR1 visa, we undergo first the processing to NVC and wait for our case to be closed before they can schedule us our interview. CR1 usually takes longer than K1. Thank u though. goodluck on ur journey too!

I am in the same boat, NOA-1 was on May 3 and NOA-2 was August 2. When we contacted them we received an email back stating that they recently received it and that they would be in contact within 6-8 weeks. Like you I am hoping to have my fiance reunited with myself and our son before Christmas. I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully for all of us waiting they will continue working as fast as possible to process the papers.
