Hi,

My fiance just scheduled his interview last night and the soonest interview available on a K-1 was in 63 days! For those who are at the same stage of the process, I just wanted to warn you about the 2-month wait for interviews in Montreal at this time.

09-01-2008: Met him while attending university in Canada

09-20-2008: Officially in a relationship

06-05-2010: Her graduation and move to the USA

10-11-2011: Filed for US Citizenship for her

12-20-2011: Biometrics Appointment for her

02-02-2012: US Citizenship Interview for her

02-16-2012: US Naturalization Oath Ceremony for her

K1 Process for him

05-22-2012: Filed I-129F for him

05-24-2012: USPS Delivery Confirmation

05-30-2012: NOA1

05-31-2012: Check Cashed

07-12-2012: NOA2 (Only 43 Days!)

07-24-2012: NVC sent the petition to the Montreal embassy

07-26-2012: MTL received and logged the petition

07-30-2012: MTL sent Packet 3

08-09-2012: Fiancé received Packet 3

Not looking forward to this at all :(

We just got our NOA2, but I'm mentally preparing myself for a November interview, and hopefully December POE. But then again, anything can happen between now and then... hopefully it won't go too much further than 65 days or so...

Same here! We were originally hoping for an October POE, but now I just hope to be there by Christmas. C'mon VSC!!! :angry:

I checked a week ago and it was 50 days. Keep checking back though because you can reschedule if something comes sooner.

11-12-2012: Medical in Toronto, Ontario (Approved-Went Well! Tip: Make sure you have ALL of your vaccinations up to date when you go to your medical exam! It CAN delay things.

Just curious, cause maybe I don't understand the next steps yet?

How do you check for an interview if you haven't received your Packet 3 yet? Is it just because you have your MTL number?

It seems long but t least you have an end date in site! THat is the good news! 5 yrs ago we filed in early Jan and didn't have an interview until 10 months later...it could be worse is all I'm sayin ;)

When you get your MTL number from NVC (which is going VERY quick), you can register for the CSC website http://usvisa-info.com/en-ca/selfservice/ss_country_welcome and you can register for courier services and such and it will tell you how much days it is til the next available slot.

Everything has been going at lightning speeds since NOA2. We are sending Packet 3 Friday/Saturday (whenever my fiance gets around to go to the postal place in Canada) :dance: So its just going extremely quick!

Yeah, I wish I only had to wait 63 days!

Yes, I know we are very lucky. We received our NOA2 only 43 days after filing! I'm just anxious to start wedding planning and picking a date and venue! We're having a formal affair so lots of planning will ensue. He still has one class to take so he plans on moving right after the holidays. This would leave us about 4 months to plan something which is definitely doable but a bit rushed for a more traditional wedding.
