Help!

Hes leaving in less than a month for deployment for a year and i need to file roc in march. Are there things he needs to sign, can he do them now or is it too early.. will the forms still be valid in march?

Here are the docs i can think of that i need from him:

Copy of DL and mil ID

Copy of orders

Copy of POA

Copy of life insurance from military

Joint tricare insurance

Was i supposed to have a passport/bc copy because the army took it already :/

I wish I was more prepared but I am also pregnant so Im really stressed. Will it matter that he is missing the birth of the baby?

I would appreciate any advice/ recommendations for documents we can prepare while he is in country. Thanks!!!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Please clarify this: The Army has taken your passport???

Please explain the reason and circumstances about your passport???

I was "Over there" in 2003 and we had Email, Telephones, Computers, Faxes, Scanners, Printers, Copiers, every thing needed to handle any and all administrative needs. Also had lawyers to advise and assist. There is DHL and FEDEX and Post Office regular mail and tracking certified mail too.

Do you have a specific question???

Mr Pangga :)

You don't need a copy of his (or your) birth certificate or passport, so that's not a problem. He needs to sign the I-751, but that's pretty much it. Sounds like you are doing well already thinking about what you need to get together - I'm sure it will be fine! :) Congrats on the baby! :)

Mr Pangga :)

Not my passport and BC, but his. They took the old one because they are getting the red passport. By the time he gets it, we will not be together anymore. I already asked my question, what else documents should I prepare before he goes. I know he'll have access to mail over there but I'd rather get it all sorted out while he's still around. I am not sure how much contact we will have because of their mission so I need to be safe than sorry. Thanks!!

All you will need is his signature on the ROC document. Everything else you should have access to.

Thanks! Do you think its too early to print out the ROC form now and have it sign it, will the form still be valid in March?

What is the expiration date on the form, you can print it out now and have hubby to sign it, do not date it.
