PD becoming current soon

I (US citizen) have filed I-130 for my brother under F4 visa. He applied for AOS using I485 with suppliment 245-i and with proper panelty. Application was accepted, PD was approaching and finger prints, medical exam etc. were completed in US but due to retrogression, he had to wait till PD becomes current. He was given EAD (already renewed once).

His priority date is April 1, 2001, which is expected to become current next month (for F4 India).

My questions are:

1 does he need to do anything or the PR card will arrive on its own? if he needs to do anything, who to contact?

2 since the inteview has already fishined, what else remains to be done?

3 i have read several places that medical exam is only valid for 15-18 months. is this also true for retrogression affected cases? has anyone been asked to do medical exam again?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

How was he able to file an I-485 without his priority date being current?

How was he able to file an I-485 without his priority date being current?

Priority became current in January of 2011 and hense filed i485. At interview he was notified that due to retrogression PD is no longer current and will have to wait till it becomes current. Now again it misbecoming current. The adjudication process however finished interview, fingerprints, biometrics etc early last year.

Ah gotcha. Your initial post made it sound like the PD was close but was not current.

If the I-485 has already been filed (and probably pre-adjudicated) then he should not have to do anything else.
