They won't destroy each other. In 75 years there will be a single Israeli state if the trend continues.

Historic Palestine will likely become a single state before then. (Actually, it effectively is already a single state, with Israel controlling the entire territory although in an apartheid fashion.) However, 75 years from now, unless there is a mass genocide or further mass ethnic cleansing (or if the rest of the world accepts an apartheid state) it's extremely unlikely that the territory will be "Israeli" due to demographics.

But, it won't be a Jewish state if the status quo is maintained much longer. Much like S.A., eventually the Palestinians will have to join the Israeli nation at large, and with their superior numbers, they will take control of the government.

You beat me to it.

If I'm not mistaken Palestinian numbers have not and will not grow as quickly as the Israeli population primarily due to immigration. Time is not an ally of Palestine, therefore the longer Israel is allowed to maintain the status quo the more likely they eventually succeed in taking over the entire area.

And they will see all the revenue-generating stuffs the Jews of Israel have created, see all the commercial links that stuff brings with it, and they will decide to keep it.

It beats another Holocaust.

One can always hope that particular strand of madness was limited to Germany.

I love the way you totally ignore what Israel *got* for free when it stole half, then 3/4 (and now working on what's left) of Palestine - all the businesses, all the farms, all the homes, all the property that it rents out to tenants or sells. You probably believe Israelis made the desert bloom and invented the Jaffa orange and hummus and felafel, etc. etc...

Quit your whining. Look forward, not backward.

Israel's pool of potential immigrants is tapped out since the fall of the Soviet Union. Most of the world's Jews don't want to live in Israel, and have no intention of moving there. Barring another catastrophe on the level of the Holocaust, there will be no more mass aliyahs.

Quit your whining. Look forward, not backward.

The truth is the truth - whether it hurts your ears or not. Anyone could have done the same (or probably better) with all that free stuff (not to mention the billions in free money from the U.S.)

You seek to disrupt in an attempt to right perceived historical wrongs. Most people aren't like you.

LOL Palestine is what got disrupted in order "to right perceived historical wrongs."

Not desert but swamp. My understanding is that many settlers bought swamp land on the coastal plain and converted it to farmland. Much easier than converting a desert but still hard.

Did your understanding come from Joan Peters or something ?

True, so let's do it again?

Sorry, but at some point the extremists have to be told... no more.

What *are* you talking about ? Are you in favor of apartheid, or further ethnic cleansing ?

Your approach to this reeks of extremism. Extremists like to portray every possibility other than their own as a binary between bad and worse.

Extremists are the reason this problem continues to persist. Extremists poison the well of discourse.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

You have to push at both ends to get people to come together in the middle. The hard part is to get both extremes to push just hard enough to keep that motion going, without completely alienating the middle. I think that is the political theory of Triangulation that ####### Morris came up with while sucking on some toes.

I still don't know what you're talking about. It seems you are calling me an "extremist," yet you can't quite articulate why.

You should be ashamed of your failure to make your point.
