Hi,

My wife an I received an RFE for her medical being incomplete. She did not have MMR and one other one done before visa was issued. I now have to make an appointment with the civil surgeon to have this form completed. The question I have is my wife just received MMR last month while in the hospital. Will the civil surgeon just sign off on that one if I have the medical records to prove it?

Yes... additionally, you need to take all the other records of vaccination to the civil surgeon as well. Explain to him that he only needs to sign off on the vaccination requirements.. Not re-do a complete medical. (as long as the RFE did not request a complete medical)

If for any reason the vaccination requirements are marked incomplete from her country, the vaccination I-693 form has to be completed by a civil surgeon.

The incomplete was only for 2 shots. Will he fill out the form with all her history or just the 2 asked for in the RFE?

I imagine if you have the letter and show him. Some of the civil surgeons are arseholes. Either way, you are going to pay him a hefty price. We had to have a few shots once here in the US, we got them at the health department and took ALL of her vaccination records. He still wanted to charge us full price of a medical. I actually had to argue with him that a medical was not needed, just the I-693 vaccination requirement. He finally agreed. We still paid $200/cash. He only accepted cash for immigration services.

My advice would be not to risk it and take all of her records for him to see... In theory I agree with you, in reality I have learned to cover our butts.

P.S. to answer your question simply... If you have a medical record showing MMR, then he has to put that in I-693 form.
