And there we have it, the rational that prompts most of you 'get the illegals outa here' argument. Essentially, you have your cake and you want to eat it, regardless of the harm your culture/consumarism does to the rest of the world.

The US is full of you wonderful upright citizens. My mind boggles at your one dimensional personalities and you're "I'm alright Jack" mentality. Oh, and even better than that, you like to dabble in external politics tell other nationalities how to behave and try to bully them into a behaviour or religious belief that conforms with the American view of the world, but only if in doing so the US gets some benefit...like say oil.

It's easy to be contented in your fat cat society and pour scorn on the lesser mortals who don't have the 'high morality' that you do.

Luckily, in real life not all Americans behave like this, or have such shallow beliefs.

Be thankful you, who are so passionate about the scurge of the illegals, have nothing more pressing to worry about in your day to day life.

Oh, I know my words don't affect you, still, maybe one day, more people will try to view the whole world as their home and not some abitrary piece of land they happen to have been born in.

Well, I can see how it might be a slap in the face if, by coming over illegally, the illegal alien got the rights and privileges that come along with being a legal permanent resident, but they don't..BS THEY DO. So what are you envious of?

My two cents....So far I haven't seen anyone mention that the Mexican Government prints and hands out pamplets on illegals rights when crossing into America. They also provide suggestions on obtaining food and water, etc...I'm not picking on the Hispanic community, just saying ####### to a government supporting breaking the laws of it's neighbors.......

The US isn't promoting it's population to enter illegaly into another country...Secondly, a statement about knowing the world coming from a Brit is after all, funny!!!! Thanks for the problems in the middle east since Britain divided up that part of the world in the 1900's, thanks for all the colonialism, thanks for allowing the US to fight to defend you....Thanks!!! If Americans are so rotten, then why did you move here? Why haven't you left? Why shouldn't the US close it's borders, kick the UN out, and not be involved in the world? Let's see how far that goes when the money dries up and the world doesn't have someone to come to the rescue!!!! Is that history enough for you????

Is it really so bad to wish to draw people's attention to how lucky they are instead of having to listen to them wingeing on and on about something that has no easy solution?

The only reason why most of you are interseted in this topic at all, is because you are sitting waiting in line and somehow think that if the illegals were to 'vanish in a puff of smoke' you would get pushed to the top of the queue, and another equally vacuous idea, that 'terrorism' would be elliminated from the US radar.

The problems are much more complex and building a wall is a joke, allbeit an expensive one.

Maybe if more people were interested in global solutions then these problems would diminish, but until then the US faces issues that cannot be waved away with such facile solutions as are so frequently proposed in relation to immigration, terrorism and illegal entry into the USA.

This is another particularly vacous argument. Because I am from the UK means automatically that I represent the views that led to all the 'bad' things that have come out of the UK. Or the, if you don't like it hear go home argument. Come on, grow up!

So the US government isn't promoting illegal entry into other countries, but it is certainly persuing some highly questionable foreign policies.
