Anyone out there applying for DCF in South Africa? I filed my husband's I-130 at the start of June this year and we are still waiting to hear from the consulate in Johannesburg. As we approach the three month mark, I am wondering if anyone has filed for DCF in South Africa recently. Not many people in the same boat have filled out their timelines so it's difficult to see what sort of wait my husband and I can anticipate. If you have any information I would so appreciate if you could share!

If I were you I would call the embassy and ask them what the progress is on your case. I applied for my husband in Kenya and I called to check on our status and it turns out they approved it the very day I called. But if they have not contacted you yet I'd call them if I were you. Be sure and give them your passport numbers and reciept number if they ask for it So they can find your case quickly. Hope this helps .

It took a week of filing our petition to get an email notification of my approval as the beneficiary. Did they collect your email address after both of you were interviewed? If not, I suggest you call them to verify because they may have sent the approval notices to your address which we did not receive yet.
