Testy, aren't we? You don't know what her condition was nor do you know what the outcome of treatment would be. And as you just said, "We're a civilized species. You want to sentence women who have a medical condition that requires treatment which does not allow for a simultaneous pregnancy (the category of people) to death merely because on average their chances of survival aren't anything to get excited about. That is making a life and death decision for a category of people based on average outcome. Civilized people don't do that. You said as much yourself. Yet that is what you want to do.
