Hey, so i was wondering how long after getting your NOA2 does it usually take to complete the case with interview and the rest of processing? (i.e. get to the US)???

ALSO, are there alot of folks out there doing this whole process without lawyers ??

First time posting!!

P.s. You guys help people SO much!!! Just writing on a forum, helping people be with the ones they love even quicker and without stress!!! PROPS! :thumbs:

Many of us on VJ are successfully doing this without a lawyer. VJ has been extremely helpful.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

The time it takes depends on the nvc processing. Normally they will say they have 20 days from the time they receive ur case to enter it in the computer and generate a case number. Then once u have the case number it really starts with how long it takes.for u to send the information they ask for.. Like ds3032 and AOS Payment and paperwork. If u call they will tell u that can take another 20 days to review the information but really takes less than a week. Once that Is approved ur on to the visa application. Having ur paper together already helps move the process along quicker. from visa app to interview is roughly 30-45. Notice I said roughly. After visa approval pick is normally 7-14 days.

As for getting a lawyer..I was told by a lawyer if ur situation is not complicated don't waste the money. I doesn't really change the speed of the process.

8/13/2012-Received IV BILL & PAID

8/21/12-Sent IV Packet overnight USPS

8/22/12-Packet recvd at NVC

8/27/12-Case complete @ NVC

9/13/12-Recvd Interview letter
