Do i need to wait for a mail/email from USEM about the case number?

Hi everyone...

Need advice..we receive our case # if im right Aug 16 through the phone only, (NOA2 is AUG )

When we 1st called that day (aug 16) the 1st operator who answered my fiance said it was already being mailed.

So he called for the 2nd time (same date) and asked the case # so i can have my med and interview here in PI and he got it.

One of my friend told me that we need to wait for the embassy instruction ? is that correct? So for now i can have my medical 1st on aug 28-29. Embassy Instruction means the mail ? or email? that i am going to get.. or my fiance in usa will get it.. ? Alot says i couldnt have my interview if that packet is not yet in the USEM...

I just wanna know whats the best thing to do to save time.. i can be patience if i need to wait for something before my interview..

NO, you DO NOT need the embassy letter for the medical. But you will need to pay the interview fee at a local BPI before you can schedule the interview. They will ask for the letter at St. Lukes, but if you don't have it, it's ok. My fiance did all this in June and she did not have the visa letter.

You and him will both get a letter showing the case number. But there is no need to wait for it.

Once you have the confirmation from the NVC that your case has been move to your embassy ...you have to wait for a week or two for you to write your embassy via email with your case number and if they have your case with them they will invite you to come for your package to continue with the process...in my case we waited for two weeks after the NVC told us they have move our case to my embassy...and when i contact my embassy via email they told me they have sent a mail in my postal box inviting me to the embassy to receive my package which i didn't receive any mail in my postal box .....so they asked me to come and pick the package if i didn't receive it in mail box and if am coming i should bring the email they sent to me which will give me entrance to the embassy ....so please wait for the embassy instruction since the medicals and the police certificate have expire date.
