Does anyone know if there is any importance to having a time/ date stamp on your petition photos, thanks

You can put date, time, place, people etc.... on the back with pen. Also it is recommended that you put your case# .

Doesn't have to be on the photo from the camera

not important... we had all the pics signed at the back and we put the dates with a pen, approved no problem :) pics are the secondary evidence anyway so don't stress too much ;)

I sent in regular photos with names, dates, etc written on the back and ended up getting an RFE for "evidence of having met" (the photos were not the main reason why). On the RFE, it said that only time stamped pictures would count as secondary evidence. I sent back the RFE and included time stamped photos and got my NOA2 3 days later. It may not be necessary for the approval, but it wouldn't hurt to send them in! It helped me :)

Well, it's not a requirement however pictures are normally used as secondary evidence which means it backs up your primary evidence.

You can't manufacture evidence(as that would be lying) but you can add the date and location of the pictures so they support your intial(primary evidence such as passport stamps) saying you were together between this and that date. Handdated pictures are fine.
