I had an interview 2 weeks ago, it was a second interview after reaffirmation. The consular officer asked us to take our medical result and passport to Ikeja Document collection center and that in 2 weeks we can collect our visa

Other Facts

1. We did a medical test last 3 or 4 weeks ago and the Doctor said I could have some abnormality in my chest. I chose not to present any medical during the actual interview

My questions

1. Since the Consular officer said we should take the medical and passport to document collection center, will the outcome of the medical test matter? I mean will it affect our visa collection?

2. Is Ikeja document collection center is a place for visa collection?

Is there anyone who has gone through this experience before? Please share

Thank you always Vjers

I really don't have the right answers for you, I haven't been in you situation......... But my problem is why didn't they keep your passport? why did they tell you to take it there yourself? I know after the interview and if you get approved, they keep your passportwacko.gifwacko.gifwacko.gif, kinda confusing though...... I hope someone will give you a better answer..... and yes Ikeja is another visa pick up location

Did you asked the doctor more specifically what kind of abnormality he saw ? To answer your question,a specific diagnosis would help to determine if it would influence the outcome of the visa issuance.

It's amazing that you were interviewed without the medical. Others have been told not to come without it (but you did say reaffirmation so it appears they made an exception). Your chest x-ray must be clear. Depending on the abnormality it can be treated. VJ member vinotinto's interview went from Dec to March because of an abnormality. He did get approved.

Just be a little more patient.

They will interview you without the medical, but they will tell you at the end of the interview, that you need to come back and pick up your visa after you get a medical ( if they approve you). But they usually have to approve you if its an interview of a reaffirmed petition (like mine was).
