Bio appointment came before NOA1

Hello good VJ people!

So I sent in my I-130 & I -485 together on 8/8/12.

They received it on 8/10/12

Check cashed on 8/14/12

Notice of bio appointment received 8/18/12 - appointment is on 8/31/12

Now, I didn't receive either text/email or hard copy of NOA. Is this normal? I am just curious because I am able to access my case online using the MSC case number on my bio appointment notice.

Yeah its normal. You will get it eventually. At least you have the receipt number to check status online...:)

06.08.12 - AOS mailed
09.18.12 - Interview.....Approved!!

ROC- Divorce Waiver
05/09/14- I-751 packet mailed to CSC
05/12/14- NOA1 Receipt date
07/01/14- Biometrics Appt

08/11/14- RFE received

09/08/14- RFE response received by USCIS

09/22/14- 10yrs GC Approved!!

It happened to me too, just received my bio appointment mail before even receiving the hard copy of NOA1. So its seems to be normal.

2009 - Came to US on F1 visa
2009 - met my long time online friend and fell in love with her :)
12/2010 - Graduated
03/2011 - started working on OPT
03/2012 - STEM started
05/2012 - wife naturalized to USC

05/31/2012 - My employer filed my H1B ( still pending with USCIS)
07/06/2012 - Got married
08/06/2012 -(day 0)- AOS package sent USCIS
08/08/2012 -(day 2)- AOS package delivered to Chicago USCIS lockbox
08/13/2012 -(day 7)- NOA for I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 through email and text
08/18/2012 -(day 12)- Bio-metric appointment letter received - date 09/07/2012
08/20/2012 -(day 14)- Walk-in Bio-metric done(day 14)
08/24/2012 -(day 18)- Hard copies of NOAs for I-130, I-485,I-131 and I-765 received through mail
09/11/2012 -(day 36)- Got message for Interview date on 10/15/2012
09/13/2012 -(day 38)- Hard copy of NOA for Interview
10/09/2012 -(day 64)- EAD and AP approval notice
10/15/2012 -(day 70)- Interview
10/16/2012 -(day 71)- Approved
10/17/2012 -(day 72)- Combo card rcvd(EAD and AP)
10/19/2012 -(day 74)- production of new card ordered
10/20/2012 -(day 75)- Welcome mail
10/22/2012 -(day 77)- card mailed
10/24/2012 -(day 79)- GC in Hand :)

It's interesting the same thing happened to me and I was getting ready to call them tomorrow. It's a relief to know I'm not the only one. I did get the text and email confirmations though.

Married: 24th February

Adjusting from B2 Visa

Concurrent filing I130, I485 and I765:

Day 0.... 08/06/12- Package mailed to Chicago Lockbok via FedEx ground

Day 2.... 08/08/12- Package delivered and signed for

Day 4.... 08/10/12- Received Email and text confirmation

Day 8.... 08/14/12- Check cleared

Day11... 08/17/12- I797C, NOA biometric appt received. Scheduled date 08/31/12 @ 12:00

Day16....08/22/12- Biometric appt completed.... Early walk-in less than 15 minutes

Day16....08/22/12- Received NOA hard copies in the mail for I-130, I-485, I-765

Day38....09/13/12- Received text notification for interview. Scheduled date 10/18/10

Day40....09/15/12- Received hard copy for interview. Scheduled 10/18/12 @ 12:45 Holtsville NY

Day61....10/06/12- Received text notification about EAD card production

Day66....10/11/12- Received 2nd and 3rd text notification about EAD card in production

Day67....10/12/12- Received notification card was picked up by USPS

Day70....10/15/12- Received EAD card in the mail. I'm loving it

Day72....10/17/12- Went to SS Office to apply for card

Day73....10/18/12- Interview day!!!! Approved

Day77....10/22/12- Received approval letters for I-130 and I-485. Got SS card

Day78....10/23/12- Got 2 text msgs about card production

Day79....10/24/12- Green card mailed
