Gee, that's not what I was implying at all.

She said they wanted to wait till they had more money to buy 'good' rings. I was just trying to come up with the cheapest way to have rings for the interview (if they felt them necessary).

That was kind of harsh.

rebeccajo,

Terrific advice that, to put on a false front.

May not get caught, but it's not the best of habits to get into, especially when it's entirely unnecessary.

Pawn shop.

Take them back when you are done.

I guess I messed up somehow.

Honestly all I was doing was bargain shopping.

If I missed something here well then shame on me.

I knew you could take it---I don't know post #5's author. Their tone trickled onto your post. :(

Wedding rings aren't worn in every culture and they are in NO way a requirement for AOS. "Borrowing" rings is exactly what Yodrak read into it too---somehow doing something to give a false impression.

In Greece, they wear wedding bands on the right hand, and you get them at the engagement ceremony.

rebeccajo,

My apologies. I took your words at 'face value', not recognizing the context you provide here.

I'm glad to now understand what you really meant, I hope other readers are now clear on that also.

Yodrak - Well in all fairness to you I only typed nine words. One of those times when 'succintness' (*sp) didn't convey the true meaning.

All is well. Thanks.

My wife is allergic to nickel, which is commonly used as a base metal. We bought solid silver which was a inexspensive interim solution and Annie could wear it if she needed to. I bought her another ring in Scotland.
