Don't feel bad, you could have bought a Tahoe or Suburban (Janesville, WI) but this might help you feel better.

Thanks I went to look at a 2011 California Special but the Wife wanted a Rag Top. I know who wears the pants in my house but more importantly I know who takes them off.

Shelby GT 500 2013 blacked out is my dream car. They are currently getting an 8-12K premium on top MSRP at dealers and going like hot cakes.

Big Bro almost ended up with Super Snake. He's going to get a ZL1 now.

a tahoe is overpriced (and not as capable as a pickup) and the suburban is an overpriced pickup with a built in camper shell.

i'll stick with my pickup

Did you work at a Ford dealer in MA? Just curious, I'm in MA and I know a few die hard Ford fans from decades ago.

 Don't know much about the car or it's intended audience?

I worked at two different Ford dealers north of Boston in the 80's.

The first time I ever had the pleasure of being in a vehicle that broke the 100mph mark was when I was a sophomore in high school. My buddy had a 1971 Camaro Z28 with an LT1 engine in it, we hit 135mph and it still wanted to go. GM did make some really cool cars back in the day.

First car I ever owned was 1974 Ford Grant Torino Sport with a 302 engine. It had bucket seats, 8-Track player with a 100watt equalizer and Jensen triaxials in the back. Those were the days.

Right now, the federal government owns 500,000,000 shares of GM, or about 26% of the company. It would need to get about $53.00/share for these to break even on the bailout, but the stock closed at only $20.21/share on Tuesday. This left the government holding $10.1 billion worth of stock, and sitting on an unrealized loss of $16.4 billion.

Right now, the government's GM stock is worth about 39% less than it was on November 17, 2010, when the company went public at $33.00/share. However, during the intervening time, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen by almost 20%, so GM shares have lost 49% of their value relative to the Dow.

Facebook has lost more than 50% and overall the market has been all over the place.

I wouldn't bet on GM going bankrupt just yet.

Rolling of the eyes is a common trait of silverado owners after they get refused service for driving around with a gunrack and the stars and bars in the window; don't feel bad, the Cracker Barrel is still open late though, Yee-haw! Tahoe pulled me out of a 6-foot snow drift in the middle of the night during a blizzard in Northern Ontario. The lack of weight in the back would have prevented such a result in a silverado.tongue_ss.giftongue_ss.giftongue_ss.gif

Now go out and buy a Tahoe, you know that you want to!yes.gif

On the showroom floor they had several of the New Shelby GT 500's. 2103 One blacked out one I really really liked. 662 HP. Fatest Production car made in America. 200+ MPH

Do you live in Germany? If you live in the US, where are you gonna drive 200MPH? Or 100 for that matter? In CT, you can be arrested for reckless driving going over 85.:P

As for GM, who cares? If they can't compete, they can flow rid down the shitter with the other American cars.

The US government is never gonna see the money they pumped into this pit, so might as well cut your losses and don't dump any more in.
