gimme some facts on how he lowered taxes.

It's called the Recovery Act - believe you would recognize it under the term "stimulus". About 1/3 of the Recovery Act was tax cuts for you and me.

The 2009 federal income taxes that come due on April 15 have been cut for nearly all working Americans, including Americans at all income levels, by the Recovery Act signed by President Obama last year. No legislation enacted during the Obama administration increased taxes for 2009.

The table below shows how working families and individuals in Florida were affected by four of the major tax cuts included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the Recovery Act) signed into law by President Obama last year. These figures reveal that:

# 98 percent of working families and individuals in Florida benefitted from at least one of the tax cuts signed into law by President Obama.

# Working people in Florida received $917, on average, from these breaks.

# These tax breaks benefitted working people at all income levels.

the happy meal a week tax break he shorted ss & medicare out of really boosted the economy.

You're mistaken. The tax cuts I referred to are not the same as the payroll tax reduction that has been in effect the last couple of years. The stimulus package contained roughly $250BN worth of tax cuts over the course of 2 years. That's a pretty significant tax cut. But as I suspected earlier, you don't do facts.

Yes, so interesting how nobody noticed how Obama has accelerated the looming insolvency of both trust funds, and destroyed the economy in the process.

Starting in 2013, you will pay the Medicare tax (3.8%) on capital gains and dividends.

No, I won't.

Who is subject to this tax?

Taxpayers with incomes or an adjustable gross income (AGI) over $200,000 who file individually or $250,000 for married couples filing jointly could be subject to this tax.

As I said, I'm working on that but I am not there yet.

The economy was in free fall when Obama came into office. Now it is growing - not as fast as we'd like but as long as everyone in de-leveraging mode rather than consuming, that's what we'll have. On the other hand, companies have increased productivity and are making record profits. All they need to ramp up hiring is demand. But austerity doesn't produce demand, it stifles demand. Hence no hiring...

they noticed. they just don't speak of it. they claim that a few bucks a week is a major tax break.

The tax break was $125BN a year for 2 years. That's more significant of a short term tax cut stimulus than you've seen in administrations past.

So, it's $20.00 a week. That's a little over a grand for the year. That's worse than the $600.00 check that Bush mailed out to stimulate demand in the economy why?
