Hi all,

We're working on the I-864. I (the USC) don't have any income (well, I live abroad and my current income won't continue) and don't have enough assets that we could prove we could have access to within a year to qualify - so we are going to have my sister be a joint sponsor.

If her income is sufficient to cover her family plus my husband (I don't need to be included in that, right?) should I still give proof of my assets even though they're not enough?

I know I still have to file, submit tax transcripts, etc., am just wondering if I should fill up a packet with 12 months of bank statements from a number of different banks if its not going to count in the end.

Thanks a lot for your help!

No, if it doesn't help you qualify as the sole joint sponsor, there is no point in adding that information.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
