What happened after expedited case?

I have a Q:

My case was expedited And NVC told us that it was send to US embassy Aug9, If i have some concerns i will contact the US embassy instead.

Now I registered our case (CR1 category) online in our US embassy website, after that there is an option : schedule an interview?

So i click that option and gave me series of dates on when to schedule an interview-- i choose Sep 12 & they gave me a confirmation appointment.

I am not sure if i am doing the right thing. So I called the US embassy hotline & talk to an agent.

I ask them if my case Was already there or arrived in the US embassy,

But they cant confirm to me that my case is alteady there. So they ask me some Q regarding my case & passport. And told me that my interview is on Sep 12.

I told them that i was the one who pick the interview date from their website options not the NVC bec my case was expedited. The agent told me-""- its okay because by the time of your interview your case will arrive, it will take with in a month for a case to arrive in US Embassy from NVC""

In addition the Agent advice me to take the physical exam 1-2weeks before the interview date.

So i guess that was it,, sep 12 it is.

Does anyone here experience the same way i have??

Did I make the right thing???

Or ill wait until my case will arrive at the embassy & their instructions???

PLEASE HELP ME. I'm still In doubt,

Im scared if by the Time ill go to US Embassy my case is still not there. :(

I am sure the petition will definately arrive at the embassy before September 12.....don't worry to much about that. Go get your medical exam and good luck at your interview.

If your case was expedited at the NVC level, they have to send your file out within 48 hours of approval of the expedite. (that is what they told me when our case was expedited). Our file made it to the PI within a week of the expedite being approved (check my full timeline link in signature). You will be fine with that interview date. Just make sure your wife has all the required documents (I-864 and DS-230 stuff if it wasnt already sent to the NVC). You have almost 2 months until the interview....it will be no issue.

We already send the AOS & packet IV forms to the NVC before it was expedited. Therefore my wife will not bring any of those forms in the embassy ryt ??

My wife brought the stuff, but it wasnt needed as it was all with the package from the NVC. I would make sure she has a copy of I-864 for the interview "just in case." It is better to be over prepared for the interview than need it and not have it.
