Hello, my wife is a US citizen and filed for my visa. We have been married for 10 years and have a 5 year old daughter. I have my visa interview appointment Sept. 10 2012. I originally enter the US when I was 6 in 1988 and left the country on my own will to file for the visa in July 2007. I was never in trouble with the law whatsoever. Since I was in the US after I turned 18 and they will have info/evidence that I was there I will not lie about that in the interview. My question is this if my visa gets denied and I have to request an I-212 or I-601 waiver, what are normal processing times if i file for it right away and send the payment? Any info would be appreciated.

Your wife would file 601 with the lockbox.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
