People get approved all the time who have never met in person until the fiance' arrives in the US. You'll be fine. Just bring proof of an ongoing relationship.... minus airplane tickets.

Don't think so, it's justifiable to say that your fiance is busy at work and can't get enough vacation leave. Must have all your proofs of communication. It should be fine.

um...what? One of the requirements is that you have physically met in the past 2 years, failure to do so will absolutly result in a denial.

Unless I am misreading your post

OP - as long as you have met the requirement, then you SHOULD be fine, although you may need to explain the 'only once' meeting

Good luck

We have the same situation.. My fiance only visited me once. he likes to come back and be with me in the interview but he can only stay for 5 days.. so we rather save money for there are still a lot of expenses when i get there. YOu dont have to be worried.. the requirement is that you met in person for the past 2 years.. just provide proof of on going relationship like emails or chat and call logs. Good luck! by the way. when is your interview? if you already have a schedule. Thanks!

I don't know if the rules have changed but my then-fiance visited me only once too. I wasn't asked about that during my interview. Fast forward to the present, we have been married for 4 years now. I suggest bring documents like emails, letters and such that can prove you are in constant communication with him. Good luck!

Please check the instructions for the I-129F at http://www.uscis.gov...i-129finstr.pdf under 5. What Documents Do You Need to Prove That You Can Legally Marry?

A. Provide copies of evidence that you and your fiancé(e) have personally met within the last two years; or if you have never met within the last two years, provide a detailed explanation and evidence of the extreme hardship or customary, cultural or social practices that have prohibited your meeting

You must have met personally within the last two years - as long as you have evidence, even if you only met once, you should be fine! :) Make sure to include pictures of you together ;)
