question about my husband's son

My husband has a 2 years old son with his ex-girl friend. The cute boy is under his ex-girlfriend name but he does live with us every weekdays.

We took him to my husband one year family reunion and also his birth of certificate also has my husband's name.

I have question.. because my parents like him very much, bought a lot of things from China on the website. Could I print those order history as an evidence?

Really appreciate!!!

- 7/23/2008 came to US with F-1 visa
- 9/11/2012 I-485, I-130 and I-765 package sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
- 9/12/2012 package delivered and signed by XXX
- 9/14/2012 received email with receipt numbers

- 11/19/2012 EAD card delivered, one day ahead of my birthday!
- 1/11/2013 received txt and email about interview time
- 2/14/2013 interview - Got APPROVED on the spot!!
- 2/27/2013 USCIS online update - 485 decision!! we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status :) Later, my 130 update too!!!
- 3/4/2013 Card Production!!

- 12/19/2014 early bio done in Long Island City Office!

As an evidence of what? You buying things for your husband's son doesn't really prove bonafide marriage, nor is there any way to verify that those things were actually given to him. All the order form proves is that you bought the items - nothing else. Your GC isn't dependent on your relationship with the son, but his father, and while being in good terms and having a relationship with your spouses children is of course good, I don't think it would do much good as evidence for AOS.

Stick with the basics. USCIS likes to see..

- Co-mingling of finances, such as joint bank accounts, joint credit cards, life insurance policies with each others as beneficiaries

- Shared insurance

- Shared phone plan

- Shared lease/mortgage

- Joint car

In addition, you can add

- Photos of the two of you

- Plane ticket stubs showing trips taken together

- affidavits attesting to your relationship

- Mail sent to both of you in the same address (we added a couple of christmas cards that were addressed to both of us, spanning couple of years)

03/11/2011 - Day 8 - NOA 1 received for all 4 forms

03/21/2011 - Day 18 - Biometrics letter received, biometrics scheduled for 04/14/2011

03/31/2011 - Day 28 - Successful walk-in biometrics done

05/12/2011 - Day 70 - EAD Arrived, issued on 05/02

06/14/2011 - Day 103 - E-mail notice: Interview letter mailed, interview scheduled for July 20th

07/20/2011 - Day 139 - Interview at Federal Plaza USCIS location

07/22/2011 - Day 141 - E-mail approval notice received (Card production)

07/27/2011 - Day 146 - 2nd Card Production Email received

07/28/2011 - Day 147 - Post-Decision Activity Email from USCIS

08/04/2011 - Day 154 - Husband returns home from abroad; Welcome Letter and GC have arrived in the mail

("Resident since" date on the GC is 07/20/2011

Pictures of you with your husband's son might be good. Our interviewer seem to like (and kept) almost every photo we brought of my husband with my kids. I think they like to see that everyone knows each other and spends time together.

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/02/2012 - Text/email/hard copy notification of interview.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

8/07/2012 - Second GC production email

8/07/2012 - EAD received.

8/08/2012 - GC mailed.

8/09/2012 - Welcome letter and I-130 approval letter received.

8/10/2012 - Green card received. :)
