question on I-130 answered wrong

I did not want to post this, but was not sure, I'm sure others have done this.What if you answer a question incorrectly on the Application. It is now approved and at NVC. I answered yes on question 17 on the

I-130 and should have said no, but missed it, on auto fill mode. But asks if yes, where, etc. That was left blank as it should have been answered no. Do you inform them , not inform them,if approved did they miss it or assume you answered in error. Anybody ever have this happen, and if so, what happened? Or how was it resolved ? If you have had this happen, please send reponse,please no guesses, or I think.... I am sorry as I just caught it after all these months.i thought I checked, rechecked, etc, but still missed it.

First, it would obviously be a little more helpful if you posted the actual question at hand which is:

16. Has your relative ever been under immigration proceedings?

If the correct answer is no, in spite of the fact that on your petition you inadvertently checked yes, and your petition was already approved and is now at the NVC chances are there is no issue. That's not to say that there won't be discussion or confusion at the interview where you can clarify your error.

In the meantime, why don't you simply call the NVC and ask them if there is any reason to or any simple way to remedy the situation?

Yodrak, if you can be of any help in thought, you are a life saver. There was no issue, that is the issue. I checked yes in that box by mistake and it should be no. Do you know, or would you know how to find out if this is a problem, and how do I resolve it, or will it resolve itself. I am afraid to tell my wife that due to a fault of my own in not noticing that, it could cost us. If you have a thought as I say, I would be more then glad to hear it, and what I should or might do about it. Thanks an God Bless Yodrak..

Yodrak,I certainly hope and sincerely pray that is the case. I am sorry to confuse every one and did not mean to do so. i was just hoping for a reply of a real life experience of that sort. You have been around a great deal of time and have read replies as they have occured, and it is people like you who offer real answers. I now hope yours is the correct one. I will leave it alone then and hope it does not rear it's ugly head to create a problem down the road. Simple error, ans so much concern, as I have dealt with these folks before, and it was beyond ugly. I have a real life story that would make people question USCIS. So anyway, thank you and God Bless and I will let all know what happens in hope of helping others down the road should the same occur. Real life deserves real answers, and you help make that happen..
