My fiance received her NSO Birst Certificate today and it is blurry (cannot read name or birth date). She has her original birth certificate. Will she be OK?

She is going to go to the local civil register office to see if they have a clear copy, and if they do, she needs to send it to Manila and it will take 3 or 4 weeks to process. That is bad enough as it will delay us. If they do not have a clear copy then I do not know what to do.

Has anyone experienced this?

I would suggest to bring her baptismal certificate.. Yes better to bring her BC from local office as well.. That's bad that the BC is blurry my sister has a super blurry Bc from NSO too, and has nothing to do to make it cleared, If I am not mistaken at the bottom of NSO bc says "best possible image"

Mine was blurry, it was not readable. what i did was i attached a certified local copy of the birth certificate from the local civil registrar. They (NVC and Embassy) accepted it with no problem.

I suggest her to request a Certified True Copy of her BC from the Local Registry Office

just to back-up the NSO copy of her BC. It will take like 1-2 days to request a

True Copy. :)
