Hello everyone,

I just have a quick question and your help is greatly appreciated. I've been debating over whether or not I should leave the full account number on the bank statement I got from the bank (one of the evidences for Bona fide marriage). The person at the bank printed a screen shot of my account for me that shows both my husband's and my name, address, social security number, bank balance, etc..

Should I leave the full account number as it is? or cross it out so only last 4 digits show?

Thank you for your help in advance! :)

 Gosh I didn't even consider that when I sent mine! I mean...you sent the government every little detail of your life, including SSN, parents names, your favorite color, etc. They also have a copy of your check which likely is the same account...just saying.

If it makes you feel better, you can just leave the last 4 digits. I think they just want to see that you are combining your lives (I'm guessing this is why you are sending this).

In other news...I've now realized how easy it would be for any of us to get our identity stolen by a USCIS employee, lol. I miss my naive world. Best of luck!

With all the personal information that you submit to USCIS this is bothering you? Either way ought to be ok.

We actually blacked out the full account number on the bank account statements - we didn't even think to leave the last 4 digits because we thought they really didn't have any need for the account #s? Except for the check for the filing fee but surely they don't need the account #s for ALL of our bank accounts?

We did leave the last 4 digits on credit card statements though but only because only my husband's name is on the credit card statements. I'm only an authorized user so my name isn't on the statements (we sent copies of our actual credit cards with the last 4 digits showing).
