Your welcome!! Dont fall over but a pdf wont do, you need original/certified. I know the NVC already has them but you need the originals legalized, there is no way to legalize an original doc that you dont have. Play it safe, get them both. Police Certificate can be expedited quickly for a few extra pesos.

Good luck!!!

Thanks! but for the police certifcate, he requested it in person but he had to download it online n print it out so it is the orignal. he paid extra to have it ready in 6 hours. so when he returned home from work, he used the code they gave him to get it offline. He has his old birth certifcate but he requested a new one back in january so that's the one he send so he's going to use his old, which is still original and his police certificate. just hope time flies by fast because we are behind like 2months now. he could of been here but now. :(

Sometimes taking shortcuts costs us time instead of saving time. I doubt they'll accept a police report that was downloaded, as it will not have a seal or stamp.

I agree. Something about the downloaded and printed Police Certificate that doesnt sound right. But they will let him know at the Ministerio de Realciones Exteriores. The whole point of Legalizing a document is verifying the original stamp/seal/signature and the authority of the person who signed it.

I called today and the operator asked me where he got the documents from and as I explained she told me that it looks like I did turned in all the correct information. She then stated that she is going to pass it on to a supervisor to further review it and that it takes between 10-15 days. He submitted in all ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.

For the moment, you've done all you can do.

and that was to get another review requested.

If you still have difficulties after 7 business days, call back, get a supervisor

and ask the supervisor to REQUEST yet another eyeball review, telling the supervisor that the documents submitted were the originals and that you feel the actual reviewing human is clueless for proper document type.

Good Luck !

Thanks i think so too because I mean that's the only police certificate my husband can get. That is their new system. No one can sign it or anythinG. They are starting to do everything online now. I don't know how to attach it but heres what the document states.

(I couldn't save it as a pic so I copied my lab top screen. This is what is stated at the bottom of the the iscreen if that helps.

Yup, I'm a thinking it's time to help train up the NVC Reviewers for these new documents.

I just went through this same process myself very recently and was speaking from personal experience in dealing with the same country where I have lived for almost 5 years. My paperwork was processed very quickly with no delays or problems whatsoever.

I provided the OP with specific government links, US and Argentine that provide country specific information.

The OP did not have the documents legalized. That was the reason for the RFE.
