Hey guys my wife is filling an I130 petion soon for me ,

Do we need to send the original sworn affidavites / original bank statement stamped by the banker / original birth certificate specially the foreign birth certificate will need to be translated and notorized ?

or photo copies will be fine ?

also how big the package of the I130 can be , our e-mail conversation alone can be like a book / over year and half of talking

i have another question ,

in our face book chat there is private messages that outsiders shouldnt be actually seeing

you know husband/wife talk :))

SO

can i take those things out or i better leave it as it is ?

thanks every one

As far as I know you only need photocopys of civil documents, plus BC is no longer needed for the beneficiary just for a USC (or copy of all pages of the passport). As for translations they can be done by anyone that is fluent in both languages, with a signed and dated statement of translation.Dont send originals, keep them with you,I think you will need them later on.We are about to send our I130 and all the documents are copies. As for emails I really dont know about that :D maybe someone more experienced can answer that

We sent photocopies of all the civil documents and bank statements.

Photocopies of airline boarding passes and photos.

We did send originals of the affidavits but kept copies for ourselves (I wonder if that was a mistake?).

You should make sure you take all originals to your interview AND a set of copies.

As far as Facebook messages go...IDK...I guess it depends on how comfortable you are with sharing your "private stuff". I think if you brought samples of your correspondence showing communication over the months that would be fine. That way you could leave out the very private things, but still show that you had continual relationship via the e-mails/FB/texts.

I think Maybe that is why we sent the original affidavits. I seem to recall that the originals were required.

We sent one 3rd party affidavit from my husband's brother, one 3rd party affidavit from my mother, one spousal affidavit from my husband, and one spousal affidavit from me.

Here is an idea of how to write the affidavits.
