This is the first post of mine on VJ. Nice meeting you all and thanks for your time reading my post!

I just got married and got my marriage license, but it doesn't show my married name, it shows my own maidden name. What do I do to change my name? I have read all the posts here, but I am still confused. If I send all the forms filled out with my husband's name with the Copy of my Marriage Certificate, they will automatically change my name?

You just start using your new name. The easiest place to start is to send in your AOS forms with your new name, and then you will get a shiny GC in your married name. Then you can go about changing your SSN and passports etc.

This advice is assuming you are the female immigrant filing for AOS.

Thank you so much, I think I will definetly do that, because I have asked a lot of organization such as SSA, Brazil consulate, USCIS... and no luck. Another question, Can I fill out all the forms in capital letters (CAPS)?

No, it says where you need to use caps. Use it only there!
