Hi Not sure what forum this needs to go too so sorry in advance my story is this....

I met this guy on line a few years back we been in contact for months talking everyday

learning we had lots in common and over time fell in love, we arranged for me to come over to visit, the usa which I did for a couple of weeks and had the best time of my life.

After returning back to the uk our bond seemed to be tighter than before i went across.

After another few months I wanted him to come to meet my family in the UK but with work commitments and lack of finances I made my way over there again, after a few visits over the past few years we decided I would move here through a K1 visa, I know he has not been to the uk but we had loads of pics of my visits, on things went applying for the visa...turns out my fiance, is not a legal USC, which would explain alot, although he could have told me that before i fell in love with him and invested my effections and money on a lost cause.

I have tried to hate him but I can't and still want to be with him but how can i do it? I have asked him to go through the new thing i heard where illegals can apply to register in the country, I am not too sure what this entales or whether he is going to go through with it...i am at a crossroads I want to be with my fiance but at the same time i can only see myself getting hurt as i get in deeper....please help with advice.

Many thanks.

The recent Deferred Action policy will not aid him in being able to petition for you.

Well the program you speak of wouldn't help in your situation. It's for people 30 and under who were brought to the US as children. It's a 2 year deferred process. So they can get SS#'s go to school get legal working papers. Not become citizens.

I am sorry you think of him as a lost cause. Was it his US citizenship or him you fell in love with. You are from the UK which means you can come to visit all the time. Maybe he can go see a lawyer and see what his options are. Saying he is illegal can mean a whole lot of things.

I have a great job well paid an appartment all furnished I have no need to pander for a green card or citizenship, I simply fell in love with someone who it seems has lied to me and trampled my heart under foot I stupidly never met any of his family and was caught up in everything that it did not matter at the time....he has lived in the USA for the past ten years

doing small jobs on and off through contacts in his circle of friends.

I don't know where to begin? right now i just feel stupid and hurt I had plans of us spending the rest of our lives together, i even told my friends and family of my plans....

Sorry didn't mean to imply but you had said invested in a lost cause. Didn't know all that hidden stuff. But the UK is a beautiful wonderful place why not have him come to you. Of course he leaves the US no doubt he can never come back no way to come back. Sorry your heart is broken.

Another vote for him moving to the UK.

Problem solved.

exactly if he leaves he is not going to be able to go back to his life EVER again, thats what worries me, the culture shock maybe to great for him and us to pull through and I would feel that I have to stick with it whether it works or not...he would know nobody here as all his friends are in the states, also he would need to go back to his country of birth in order to go through the proper channels to be legal....i could care less about moving to the USA that was never mt intention i just happened to come across someone i got on with really well which built into something i had not planned on. you cant hel who you fall in love with sometimes it does not make logical sense.

I would like him to come here but again where do you begin??? my head is all over the place.

If he can lie to me like that for the past few years what else can he lie to me about?

I just feel duped, unfortuately I cannot switch off my feelings...

Much quicker to move to the UK and a quick Google will find you all the information you need.

From a practical point of view he is one traffic stop or ICE raid from going home anyway.

Si, man. And, as many mothers have told many heartbroken children, "There are many other fish in the sea."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The only point I am going to touch with this statement is that it's the same for him going there for a culture shock as it is for you to come here. If you can do it, he should be able to.
