We have been getting mixed information from the NVC, US/UK Embassy, and DOS.

the NVC mailed it to the Embassy tuesday Aug 14th, we scheduled his medical for the for Thursday Aug 23rd. As of today Aug 16th the Embassy says they haven't received our papers yet.

He called the extortion line again, and the first lady said it was fine, but her boss freaked out and said the medical could get lost if the papers are not received by the Embassy yet.

Do we reschedule, or ask Knightsbridge to mail it late, or if they lose it, can't Knightsbridge just send it over again?

We're trying to make a Nov. 11th wedding, so i am reluctant to push things back unless there is a serious problem.

Thank you

It's only been 2 days.. and even though i'm not at that part of the process yet myself, i'll still say give it 2-3 more days and then call back to see if they have received your case. Your date for the medical is fine.. by the time they send the results over to the embassy they definitely should have your case. (I think it can take up to a week for them to send the results over to the embassy anyways) So yeah.. I wouldn't worry about pushing things back :star::)

I wouldn't count on it reaching London by Friday, so then there's the weekend. They don't necessarily get it to the IV unit from the mail station immediately. Then the IV Unit doesn't open it and log in the details same day. It's totally too early to be calling the embassy or DOS today.

A medical on the 23rd won't likely be sent out to the embassy until Mon 27/Tues 28. So I think it will be fine. I think you should continue to call DOS next week to ask if your case is logged in. Then mail all the DS-xxx forms and necessary duplicates once they say London has it. The DS-2001 cover letter is where you give your wedding date info so they know your preferred timeline.

Do get all the shots before next Thursday and tell them you had chickenpox. It will save you a BIG hassle during AOS. I would go so far as to pay Knightsbridge for shots if your shot nurse can't help by the exam. Or tell Knightsbridge to hold your results until your NHS clinic can fax proof back to Knightsbridge. Getting them later at NHS does NOT help for AOS hassles unless they get on the DS-3025 record Knightsbridge prepares before it goes to the embassy.
