I guess I will finally join in the gripe sessions.....This sucks **S... aug 13 filer,, I sent a request to my state senator John MCCain 2 weeks ago.. no response, no update, still cant file a service request...I will wait forever to be with my baby, but this is rediculous. My fiance has a hard time understanding why I cant spend the $1,000 or so to come see her again and risk not having the money available when they do approve us. Good luck everyone!!

My congressman's office also tried to tell me the lie that since the Phillipines has a high amount of applicants (beneficiaries), that it may be delayed in processing at the CSC.

That is absolutely not true. USCIS is checking applications for completeness, and running background checks. They do not (as far as I am aware) make any value judgements as in fraud detection on the petitions. That is up to the individual embassies to do.

Don't let your congressman get away with that BS. All applications are being delayed, well, except for mid November-December petitions, it seems.

When I pointed out that USCIS does not differentiate between countries in terms of priority processing applications for K-1's(with the posible exception of Haiti), the liaison completely dropped the topic.

This makes me wonder if my congressman's office is "picking" countries to help or not to help (they did not get me any further than the "July 18" line). The Filipino community in my district (which is a very large %) may be interested in this information when it comes time for the congressman's re-election. Why else would the liaison (who should be more versed in immigration than me) try and tell me that...in fact on 2 different occasions?

Maybe they read this thread http://www.corruptgenesee.com/

Some women from Ukraine do the same thing.

I'm not saying they ALL do that!

It does!

Today he's gonna call again the Congresswoman office.

Yes, there are a lot of scammers, but that is not my point. My point is that the USCIS service centers do not process differently based on country (baring an expedite), the embassies are the ones who weed out the frauds, or are supposed to. Some of the congressmen's offices are trying to say that USCIS are doing this, which is incorrect.

Why do they refuse some cases then?

And why do they give NOA2 to Nov/Dec???

If applications are incomplete, they are RFE or refused.

As to why Nov/Dec NOA2's? I'd like to know that myself.

Inviting everyone to blow a cake on the 27th for my 8 month filing day. 4 months it will be a year, what are the chances of getting him here before a year of filing the i129f? Wanted him here for my birthday in July but that's definitely wishful thinking.

By the way friends, please don't forget to sign the petition and have all friends and family sign, too! We talk about the wait being unbearable, time to put our words into action! https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/expedite-processing-i129f-petitions-meet-current-government-processing-goals-5-months/rp6yP4Jw

While it is great to see August filers at CSC get their NOA2's, it still gives us no hope! Both of these today had congressmen help them. It is a terrible system we are stuck in :(

I don't know. Looking at the story, I'm not sure if it did anything. The first reply was the ^%$&^%$ BS July 18 line, then a week or so later, they contact that the file is being adjudicated. So, maybe it was being put in the cue, and the congressional rep just wants to take credit, or maybe it did do something. These types are in the "maybe the congressman helped" pile.

Also, being the same day NOA1 also may signal "in the same pile" as opposed to " special processing, pulled the file out".

Hey, I'm trying to be optimistic.

Ha, ha, Bayareaguy optimistic.

Who knows if contacting their congressman worked or not but most August filers that have been approved have contacted their congressman. I think my fiance should call his senator tomorrow with a whole new heap of facts and figures which I will get to work on shortly while my fiance sleeps :)

I would like to think it is a pile of files. They were dated 6th August and I am 7th August. Please, please let me be in the same pile!

While I would love to share your optimism, I think I am stuck with pessimism
