In 2 weeks the end of August filers will reach 8 months. Can you beleive that... the entire remaing month of august will be 8 to 8+ months. And what about the remaing July filers??? We're talking 9 to 9+ months. I have been a vj member for a very long time and I have often seen individual cases that have been delayed 8 or more months and that alone is extreamely unfortunate.. But come on CSC a whole months worth of filers delayed 8 months. I have never seen things this bad before. Can only hope and pray things improve for us starting this new week.

Yeah, I'm wondering where all the "this happens every year, stop complaining, you weren't the only one to wait" cheerleaders are at?

I'd like to see where it has slowed this much, for so many, for this long, with the sudden processing of newer applications.

It's ridiculous you guys are STILL waiting!! I can't imagine how you're feeling. :( It makes it much worse the fact they are approving Nov/ Dec ahead of July/Aug. It's like a kick in the face.

I hope things pick up for you soon guys!! :)

. It's like a kick in the face.

Yes, it is. It is now personal, not that I wasn't taking it personal before.

At 7.5 months here. My congressman's Immigration Case Worker said the "Philippines is a high fraud country and sometimes it takes longer." Wonder how many of us are filing for beneficiaries that are from the Philippines? Is USCIS taking a longer time to process our petitions or is the delay across the board? Last year, my friend was approved in 3 months. Is there data available? Just wondering...

Last year, my friend was approved in 3 months. Is there data available? Just wondering...

My congressman's office also tried to tell me the lie that since the Phillipines has a high amount of applicants (beneficiaries), that it may be delayed in processing at the CSC.

That is absolutely not true. USCIS is checking applications for completeness, and running background checks. They do not (as far as I am aware) make any value judgements as in fraud detection on the petitions. That is up to the individual embassies to do.

Don't let your congressman get away with that BS. All applications are being delayed, well, except for mid November-December petitions, it seems.

When I pointed out that USCIS does not differentiate between countries in terms of priority processing applications for K-1's(with the posible exception of Haiti), the liaison completely dropped the topic.

This makes me wonder if my congressman's office is "picking" countries to help or not to help (they did not get me any further than the "July 18" line). The Filipino community in my district (which is a very large %) may be interested in this information when it comes time for the congressman's re-election. Why else would the liaison (who should be more versed in immigration than me) try and tell me that...in fact on 2 different occasions?
