Can you please help me defining the following words and abbreviation I see in timeline?

"touched", "pinned", RFE

And how do we get updates from the USCIS in our email?

If a posted a topic, would my timeline automatically appear?

To get e-mails from USCIS updating your case, you should go to www.uscis.gov and create a profile there

and mark the option you want to receive e-mails / on.

It does not. You need to go to your profile, under my controls, then Edit my signature. From there, you can type in your timeline info in the signature box. Hope this helps. I don't know how else to explain it.

You should fill out the VJ timeline (link is on the 'home' page at the top)- this will contribute to the statistics which benefits other VJ members. You can duplicate your timeline in your signature too as the previous poster mentions.
