Is there any totally direct flights from US to Manila? Not including Hawaii. I hate have 2 lay overs and gotta imagine there's some airport I can fly direct to and then take the next flight direct to Philippines. I hate stopping in Japan or Korea.

Hi "madtownguy" ! seems you really have chosen an appropriate name to use here in VJ, as stated in your post..you mentioned the word "hate" twice LOL...just kidding :) Well, I think there is no direct flight. However, at least you can lessen layover time if you try Cathay Pacific --- from US via Hongkong then Manila. Cathay normally has lesser layover time and flight from Hongkong to Manila is only less than 2 hours.

YES THERE ARE:

Philippine Airlines flight PR103 LAX-MNL and returing MNL-LAX on flight PR104. Both are non-stop.

Also Delta has a one-stop Detriot to Manila, flight 629, and the return, flight 630, is one-stop as well

Wow! this is good info if your destination is LAX or Detroit. Thanks for sharing.

Are you sure? I've seen delta say direct and then they stop to refuel. Somehow not switching planes to them is direct. I was thinking LAX would have a direct flight but it's hard to tell if they stop to fuel unless someone has actually flown on it.

If youre going to los angeles, they have a flight from manila non stop. I did that once. But if youre flying somewhere else, i didnt think theres a nonstop flight

****** Whatever comments i post are based only on what I've done or experienced during this journey. ******

And we should be here to help each other.

Peace out! =)

You might want to check out PAL flights from Las Vegas or San Francisco. If memory serves me correctly, I think both outbound flights stop in Guam for just under an hour to refuel. I believe the inbound flights are direct.

PAL also advertises a direct flight from Vancouver, B.C. to Manila. I'm not sure if that outbound flight stops to refuel.

The fastest way to get to Manila from Seattle is Delta. There's only a two-hour layover at Narita, Japan.

Yeah I think from LAX is my best bet. I guess stopping once one way is better than stopping 2 times each way. Last time I flew from Detroit, and that was definitely not a direct flight. Not only did we land but, unboarded, went through security to re=board same plane at different gate. After being on the plane for 14 or so hours the last thing you want is nonsense like that.

Delta has direct but even so they stop in japan for like 30 minutes then back to the same sit and same plane...

Philippine airlines also has direct flights to SFO. I've flown them in the past. 12 hours total flight time from Manila to SFO ain't bad. The flight SFO to Manila takes longer, because of the winds, I believe, but still only 16 hours total time.

The "one-stop" that Delta offers will have a stop at Nagoya, Japan. Sorry.

Why do you hate Hawaii so much? It's nice here :-)

I don't hate hawaii, just flying! I think the direct from LAX to manila will be my best bet. Now it's trying to piece together flights from orlando to LAX so I have enough time to catch the next flight.
