How long does it typically take to receive the text and/or email I signed up for to receive alerts? I know it was just delivered on Aug 6th but I would love to know they received it. It seems most have theirs within a week tomorrow will be 9 business days, I will be fine once I know it's been accepted but wondering how long that typically takes??

Great!! That makes me feel better to know it took 11 days. I read timelines and see many that receive their texts in 4-5 days and here I am going on 9 and wondering if something went wrong. But thank you! Knowing it can take longer makes me feel much better! :thumbs:

I know its really hard to wait , but when it comes USCIS , no one can give you exact time frame. I think you will be getting your NOA in mail by this week.

I submitted my paperwork on Aug 8th, received Aug 10th and received txt/emails on the 14th. I am sure yours are coming very soon. Seems odd all the variances..

4/2012: Met online and began this cRaZY journey

9/2/2011: He proposed and I said YES!!After multiple trips back and forth.....

7/4/2012: He entered USA at LAX on B2 to visit 6 months

8/8/2012: We got married!!8/8/2012: AOS packet sent (Day 0)

8/10/2012: Packet signed for at 11:48a (Day 2)

8/14/2012: We got our txt/email notifications (all 4) (Day 6)

8/16/2012: Checks cashed.. (Day 8)

8/23/2012: Biometrics letter received via "snail mail" today.. September 7th at 12p in Sacramento CA (Day 15)

8/27/2012: Finally received all 4 NOA1 hard copies via US mail (Day 19)

9/7/2012: Biometrics completed!! (Day 30)

9/19/2012: Received txt message for interview!! October 22nd, 2012.. (Day 42)

My guess is that they get a lot of these things every day, and if yours happens to end up at the bottom of the pile, it will take them awhile to work their way down to it.

Also, occasionally they screw up the text/email thing so you could get your hard copies first.

I sure hope so!! We submitted the packets 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The cashier's checks have not been cashed yet. I called my bank to check and neither has been cashed blush.gif I was thinking surely we would hear something this week and crossing my fingers!!! I can't imagine something went wrong, tracking said it was delivered so I assume it's just sitting there waiting.....

Unfortunately it happens from time to time (I have read at various times posts where people were inquiring a month later about the NOA1).

In your case you have a tracking info, which is very good: at least you are certain that your file wasn't lost in transit and reached the destination.

You can call USCIS ( I have read posts where people called USCIS and were told to wait 30 days after submission, some got the NOA1 shortly after calling USCIS the first time , others had to initiate SR after 30 days and then received NOA1. I have not read of any case on forums where file was lost by USCIS after delivery confirmation by carrier, so chances are you will get your NOA1, sooner or later. UNLESS your file is rejected for not being complete or missing something).

I-485/I-130 filed: January 26,2012 (130/485 sent to Chicago lockbox, transferred to MSC, field office Baltimore, MD).

I-130 Approved: June 25, 2012

I-485 RFE issued: June 25, 2012

Contacted offices of Honorable Senator Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski at the end of July.

I-485 DECISION MADE on August 03, 2012 , LESS THAN A WEEK AFTER CONTACTING THE SENATOR'S OFFICE TO INQUIRE ON CASE STATUS!

I received my text (well actually the petitioner receives the text and email if you did also put his email adress to receive alerts also)2 day well 3 since it came at 1 in the morning. My husband to the package to fedex on 08/05 evening. it was delivered on 08/08 the email and text confirmation was received on 08/10 well 08/11 since it came about 1 am. Still havent received the hard copies of the I 797. So just sit put. As long as you have confirmation that they delivered it.

Married: 24th February

Day67....10/12/12- Received notification card was picked up by USPS

Day70....10/15/12- Received EAD card in the mail. I'm loving it

Day72....10/17/12- Went to SS Office to apply for card

Day73....10/18/12- Interview day!!!! Approved

Day77....10/22/12- Received approval letters for I-130 and I-485. Got SS card

Day78....10/23/12- Got 2 text msgs about card production

Day79....10/24/12- Green card mailed

1 am?? I am guessing that is was 1 am where you live and not in the US, lol I give up hoping to see a text/email after 5pm (which is 4pm in Chicago). My husbands I-94 expires Sept 2nd so I am praying we get it before his time expires!

August 24, 2012 - Biometric appt noticed received. Scheduled date 09/10/12 at 3pm in Alexandria, VA
August 27, 2012 - Received Hard Copies NOA1/receipts by mail
August 31, 2012 - Successful early walk in for Biometric Appt in Alexandria, VA
September 13, 2012 - Text notice received for Interview
September 15, 2012 - Received Hard Copy Interview Notice
October 6, 2012 - Text notice EAD Card in Production
October 12, 2012 - Text notice EAD Card mailed
October 15, 2012 - Received EAD/AP Combo by mail
October 16, 2012 - 11am Interview in Baltimore, MD
October 22, 2012 - AOS Approval!!
October 26, 2012 - Green Card mailed
October 30, 2012 - Green Card received!

Removal of Conditions
August 8, 2014 - I-751 packet mailed to Vermont Service Center.
August 11, 2014 - Packet delivered and signed for at 2:50pm
August 16, 2014 - NOA1 Received

September 9, 1014 - Biometric Appointment - 2pm - Fort Myers, FL
February 5, 2015 - Case transferred to California Service Center due to move to Texas.
March 30, 2015 - Card Production notice received.

They come at all hours. A lot of people get them in the early morning.

I don't know if someone is physically working at that time or if the computer system is maybe backed up on sending out the notifications.

AOS

5/16/2012 - Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox at 1:33pm

5/21/2012 - Email/text notifications received at 4:50 p.m.

5/26/2012 - NOA hard copies received for I-130, I-485 and I-765

6/19/2012 - Biometrics completed.

7/02/2012 - Text/email/hard copy notification of interview.

7/30/2012 - EAD card production ordered.

8/02/2012 - Interview @ 2:00

8/02/2012 - Email notification of GC production at 5:30pm

8/07/2012 - Second GC production email

8/07/2012 - EAD received.

8/08/2012 - GC mailed.

8/09/2012 - Welcome letter and I-130 approval letter received.

8/10/2012 - Green card received. :)
