My petition to my husband for IR1 got approved last Sept 1st and we were just waiting for our Interview date but as we go near to that Im getting anxious to what we have to prepare as to show the validity of our marriage.

Well im in this relationship for 10 years now we've been dating since im 18 (were college sweethearts) my petition through my grandparents came and got here at 19, that was 1999. Went back after 9months spent 3 months in the philippines before going back in the us. After 9months, March of 2001 I decided to go back home again and this time I married him when i was 21. I just spent 3 weeks with him. I did not see him again not after 2 years, because he went overseas to work and because of the hassle of having 2 jobs So I went back December of 2004 stayed until Jan 2005, 3 weeks to be exact. When I got back i got my citizenship got him petitioned and now I always wanted to go visit him but we decided, (i guess sacrifice again) to just save the money since he's about to get his interview soon and just use the money to go visit his relatives here. Im from Cali and his relatives are from Georgia and Flo. And also to get an apartment for both of us to live in, since im still living with mom and dad.

My concern is in span of 7years i only visited him thrice.

3 months in 2000

3 weeks in 2001

3 weeks in between 2004/2005

And after that I havent seen him again. Will this something the consul will look after. I mean do I need to see him again?

We're both bothered by the situation. Even we're both positive about the interview we still wanted to make sure we will be together soon. We want to end this journey being far from each other. I just wished us all in here to get our interview date set and be with our loveones soon. Hope no body will get bored of this long inquiry. Haha!!! God Bless you all!!! Thanks in advance!!!

9. SUPPORTING EVIDENCE OF IDENTITY AND/OR RELATIONSHIP.

Applicants should be prepared to submit documents that further establish their identity and/or their relationship with the petitioner or the principal applicant. Personal photographs with family members together, taken over a period of time may help to establish the existence of a relationship. Personal correspondence, home telephone records, bank records, proof of joint property ownership and/or joint financial obligations, original baptismal records, medical record and adoption decrees are often useful.

my input: personal correspondence could also be included from family members to each of you that acknowledge the relationship. emails, letters, cards etc

thanks for the reply aussiewench, I just want to gather all the neccessary documents we need to present to the consul when his interview comes. I really want to be present at that time but we decided to just save the money so we could go somewhere else once he gets here. Again thanks for the reply!!!
