Hello, I got an Email form the USCIS that they have sent me a RFE for my I-485 on Oct.11. Today is the 21st and I still have not received a letter. How long those it usually take for a letter to be send. Should I get worried and call them?

Sep. 19-06 send AOS papers

Oct. 02-06 received NOS of papers

Oct. 02-06 received Biometric appointment letter

Oct. 11-06 Biometric appointment

Oct. 12-06 RFE for I-485

Dec. 05-06 USCIS recived RFE package

Dec. 15-06 Recived Email EAD approved.

Dec. 21-06 Recived EAD card in mail

Jan. 05-07 send AR-11 to HLS

Feb. 12-07 Recived SS card in mail

Mar. 09-07 Recived USCIS updat notification on change of address (at new address)

Aug. 01-07 Interview date

Aug. 01-07 Interview in Memphis. Approved

I got the email that CSC was sending my a RFE on a Monday and I received the RFE in the mail 5 days later on the Friday ...

K-1 VISA
08-05-06 - Married in Sycamore IL

08-24-06 - AOS/EAD mail to Chicago (Day 1)
11-06-06 - GC & Welcome Letter arrive in Mail (Day 75)

I-751
09-23-08 - Sent Package via USPS (Day 1)
01-02-09 - Received GC in mail (with wrong Resident Since date) (Day 101)

You can try calling them but all they will probably tell you (as seems to be their standard reply with mailings) is to wait 30 days.

Make an infopass appointment right away, asap! In a few days your online status will change to the following message: Last written notice was returned undeliverable.

Do you live in an apartment, or do you have a name on the mailbox or have a long address line? Chicago can print that, Missouri can't. That is why you got your NOAs but not the RFE. Been there. Took 4 weeks to get it.

Forget the hotline and make the Infopass appointment right away, they are the only people who can help you know. Make sure they understand your address. Also the INfopass officer can get a fax of your RFE from Missouri so that you can answer asap. Make sure you get that fax copy!!!!!
