Weird new form G-325A

I downloaded the new G-325A (expiry date : 05/31/09). I'm having trouble to type down the year. Seems like the boxes were too small that a PLUS (+) sign came up when I punch the 4 digit numbers in and when I tried to print the forms, the plus signs came out too....... how can I get rid of it??

Another question, I studied abroad for 3 years, is it necessary to get police record from the country...? I have no idea how to do that either....now that I am back in my hometown.

That happened with me also. I had to upgrade to the newer version of the Adobe Reader. I think it was 7.0.

I gotta use the computer at work and I am not allowed to download anything so I can not download the new Adobe Reader.... =( sucks.... Would it be okay if I type the years with an electric typewriter? Just the years.

And btw, I went to study in Japan. Thanks for the website, it's really helpful. I guess I should go to the nearest Japanese consulate then.

I had wrote the entire bio form for my fiance and tyoed mine.

Immay be wrong but I thought you only needed a police certificate if you lived abroad for a certain period of time (one year or more? maybe?)

Which expiration are you referring to? The 4 mos. after NOA2?

Are you the USC or the beneficiary?

Yes then definatley will need one fro Japan.

The approved petition is good for 4 months from your NOA2 date but the Consulate has the authority to extend it for an additional 4 months if necessary. Hopefully your wait will not be that long!!!

The form expiration is typically a filed by date so technically you can use this for all filings up to and including that date. I would not worry about this.

And you can fill in the form by hand if necessary - we had the same issue on the DS-156 forms. But it's easier to fill out as much as you can online since it will duplicate copies with all the information for you!

As stated on the USCIS download page, prior editions are acceptable, so if you want a fillable form without the issues that there appears to be now on the new G-325A (not surprising), then you can download the prior version from http://www.visapro.com/US-INS-Forms/G-325A-Form.asp
