Hello VJ members!

our petition got approved on 8-8-12 from CSC. i know it is little early to call NVC but still being impatients i called them today as on 8-13-12 and they didn't receive our case yet. how long does it take to received by NVC ? do they send you a letter in mail or in email to notify about your case number?

i read different kind of post here so really confusedd

and ya i was on hold for 25 mins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! while calling to NVC

No one can tell you exactly how long it takes. Mine was received by NVC after 6 days of me receiving email/text from USCIS and it took NVC another 6 days including weekends to finish processing it. NVC will send you a letter after they have forwarded it to the embassy. Just give it some time and then call NVC again. In order not to get hold up for that long, consider calling after 10pm if you awake by then since there is very few people calling at that time

yea i call around 10pm. mornings forget it. at one time i went grocery shopping while having NVC on te phone. i finished shopping and came home and still waiting for an operator to pick up my call. atleast i did not loose my turn

i did call today after 9 :30pm and it won't take that long and finally NVC received our file and got Case number now!!!

Hey call between 5pm to 6pm. I usually call at this time and I have never waited.

02/27/2011 - Married
05/16/2012 - I-130 Sent
05/18/2012 - NOA1 Date
07/31/2012 - NOA2 Email Received

NVC:
08/03/2012 - Case arrived at NVC
08/21/2012 - Received case #, IIN, gave both e-mail addresses
08/23/2012 - E-mailed DS-3032 (using email template and scanned copy)
08/28/2012 - AOS bill invoiced & PAID online
08/31/2012 - AOS bill appears as PAID
09/13/2012 - DS-3032 accepted
09/30/2012 - IV bill invoiced & PAID online
10/02/2012 - IV bill appears as PAID
11/29/2012 - AOS Package sent (via priority mail)
11/29/2012 - IV Package sent (via priority mail)
12/14/2012 - AOS/I-864 accepted
12/14/2012 - IV Packet accepted
12/19/2012 - Case Complete
01/31/2012 - Interview date assigned by email
03/08/2012 - Interview @ Mumbai Consulate

ROC:

02/02/2015 - ROC Packet sent to California Center.

02/13/2015 - Recieved NOA.

03/12/2015 - Biometrics

06/25/2015 - Approved GC

our case reached NVC after 12 days ( we are VSC though).. best time I got through was first thing after they open their lines which is 7 am EST I believe ( I called from Europe so for me it was 1 pm)

01-24-2012: NOA1 date! => Vermont Service Centre

08-02-2012: NOA2 (195 days!!!)

09-24-2012: interview - Approved!

09-26-2012: visaarrow-10x10.png issued

09-28-2012: visa received by a registeredarrow-10x10.png post

11-01-2012: POE Dublin

11-17-2012: wedding

AOS Journey

11-23-2012: AOS package sent

11-27-2912: package received and signed for at the Chicago office

11-29-2012: case numbers assigned

12-03-2012: Biometrics letter sent to the old addressarrow-10x10.png (never received)

12-10-2012: NOA1 hardcopy for I 765 and I 131

Yup if you call first thing. you usually get right through. Or call late (10 or later)...During the day..ha. Forget about it. You can literally be on the line over an hour waiting for an operator.

1/13/12 - I-129F Petition Submitted to Dallas Lockbox

1/18/12 - Received at Vermont Service Center

1/20/12 - NOA1

1/24/12 - Touched

2/09/12 - Touched

8/02/12 - NOA2 (197 Days After Received at VSC)

8/14/12 - Received at NVC (Assigned Case Number)

8/16/12 - Departed from NVC

8/20/12 - Arrived in US Embassy Kiev

8/28/12 - Information Received from Embassy via mail

9/12/12 - Interview (Approved)

9/19/12 - Visa Received via Elin Ltd. (FedEx)

10/05/12 - POE
