Hi everyone,

We have been approved for AOS at the interview held on October 19th. I even got a stamp in my passport but I received another fingerprints appointment notice today. It's been set early next week and the notice letter is just a piece of white paper but not the same format for my first fingerprints notice.

I am very confused... Does anyone have any ideas??? The lady at the interview told us that we would received my green card in a few weeks but what does this second fingerprints mean? Please advise...

Thank you in advance!

Thank you.

Actually were on the same situation. After approving my AOS interview last Oct. 17, 2006 got a letter after 4 days stating that this is my final notice. No card may be issued without biometrics.

Thank you for your response. So did you go to your biometrics appointment already? The letter doesn't say anything about that it's a final notice...well I am confused because we thought we're done and my biometrics was done in August...

We had biometrics twice (although we haven't been approved yet) and the second letter was also on plain white paper (in fact, the envelope was even partly ripped open) so I wasn't sure if it was official, but it was, so don't miss that appointment!

This happened to us. My wife's case was approved pending supervisor review. Two days later we got a notice for biometrics and we freaked out. Turns out the officer couldn't find her photo and prints in the system so we have to get them redone. The issue date on the green card was the date of the interview, so we didn't lose any time in the end.

I would not miss the apointment.... it could be that they have a problem with your original fingerprints and so they can make the Greencard (which has a fingerprint on it) you need new ones....

Hi friends,

So I went to get my fingerprints taken for the second time after being approved for AOS. I waited for about 40 minutes until I was called and then asked why I got the letter twice. Arter 10 minutes of wait, the officer told me that my FBI name check had been clear (of course, because I have been approved!). So basically it was their mistake... Well I don't know why they made such mistake but it was a waste of my time to just go there and they even didn't need me there :( Anyway all I can do now is to wait for my green card to arrive! So it was what happened today and thought to share with you guys... :)

Thanks
